Himana hi

Tsukaretaaaaaa! What a long day! We had the day off from school, so I took the train to Shinjuku eki, walked all the way to Yoyogi park and got lost in various degrees in the middle.  Tokyo really is like a maze, there are so many billboards with the same picture, so many identical franchise shops on both ends of the street, and hardly any street signs... The park was so quiet though, hardly anyone was there- it made me realize how used to noisy streets i was. I wish it was closer to school so i could go there to study sometimes-

Okay, picture time finally!

三日は。。。

I finally got an adapter for my computer so I can finally start posting now! No pictures yet- everything is re-charging now.I'm not going to buy a phone either, its too difficult and expensive to do- hardly any stores sell the prepaid keitai.

Anyways.... I'm all settled in my host family's home now. They're so nice and the mom knows English really well  I've finally figured out my train route to and from school (it involves 5 transfers!) and got placed in the level two course at school.  The test was very intimidating- i thought i failed it at first.... but i passed! It will be review and practice for 2wks until the international students arrive in July. A lot of students are coming from Korea, so i'll be able to practice that too

So far I've:
Met only two other gaijins so far! we went :0 at each other passing in the train station
Taken the train and gotten stuffed in at rush hour- on hot days this is NOT fun
Eaten my first real ramen
Drunk canned coffee from a vending machine
Gotten my picture taken on my way to school by a dude in the subway- lost his business card..

Thats it for now!
